Dr.Yildiz is a PhD candidate at Harvard University, Department of History of Art and Architecture, Aga Khan Program for Islamic Art and Architecture. Her advisor is Gülru Necipoğlu. Her dissertation project focuses on the construction history of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (1609–1617) in the context of the political and social transformations of the seventeenth century.
