Online Programs

Originally planned to take place in collaboration with the Kaymakçı Archaeological Project in Gölmarmara, Manisa in 2020, the Environmental Archaeology Training Program has been revised as The Environmental Archaeology Online Program in response to the global pandemic. Held for the first time in 2020, the online program focuses on two important subfields: archaeobotany and zooarchaeology.

Additionally, starting from September 2020 until July 2021 ANAMED offered four terms of the online program Safeguarding and Rescuing Archaeological Assets created by the  SARAT project (Safeguarding Archaeological Assets of Türkiye), recipient of a prestigious Europa Nostra Award 2020 in the Education, Training and Awareness-Raising category, under the management of the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA), in collaboration with Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) and the United Kingdom branch of the International Council of Museums (ICOM UK). The program was offered through Koç University Online Programs as a Koç University Online Certificate Program.
