Start a chat in Teams:

You start one-on-one and group chats the same way: by selecting New chat at the top of your chat list.

• Download the Microsoft Teams App (choose your operating system)

• Hardware requirements for the Microsoft Teams App

Start a one-on-one chat:

• Once you’ve selected New chat and entered the person’s name, compose your message in the box at the bottom of the chat. To open your formatting options, select Format beneath the box where you type your message.

• When you’re ready, select Send . This starts the chat.

• You can also start a one-on-one chat from someone’s profile card. Open it by clicking their picture in a channel or from a search.

Share a file in Teams

There are a couple ways to upload files to Teams. Once you upload a file, you
can also share a link to it. That way, you don’t have to upload multiple copies of the same file to share it in different places.

Select Choose file beneath the box where you type a message. This will upload a copy of your original file. You can also upload a file by going to the Files tab of a chat and select Share.

You’ll have access to files from your computer, OneDrive for Business account, and any third-party cloud storage you or your admin have added to Teams.

Share a file with your team in a channel

Choose file beneath the box where you type your message in a channel, or go to the Files tab and select Upload.

There are a few ways to share a file that’s already been uploaded to Teams. To access all files you’ve recently opened and your OneDrive, tap More > Files.

To share within Teams, go to the file you want and tap More options > Share. From there, you can search by person or group name in the Chat tab. The Channel tab will show a list of teams and channels, tap the channel you want to share with.

Other share options are Copy link—this lets you share a link outside of Teams and Send a copy,
which will download a copy of the file to your phone that you can then choose how you want to share the file.

GSM and Mobile Phones

ANAMED provides a GSM and a mobile phone to fellows. The phones are able to activate your KU and bank accounts. They are not functional smart phones. They will be distributed by Murat Türk in return for signed agreements on the first day of orientation. Fellows who already have a Turkish GSM are required to provide their mobile phone numbers to Duygu Tarkan (on 26 September 2022) and state that they do not wish to take advantage of phones provided by ANAMED.

Online and mobile phone activation is required in administrative registration processes such as health insurance and online use of bank accounts. Therefore, fellows who do not have a Turkish GSM are required to use these phones. ANAMED will also use these phones for calls during the fellowship and for group communications (e.g., Teams groups).

* Please do not change password of the GSM card.
* There should not be a screen lock (pattern, password, etc.) on the phone.
