The “ANAMED Library Talks” organized jointly by Koç University Anatolian Civilizations Research Center (ANAMED) Library and the History Foundation (Tarih Vakfi) continue with M. Baha Tanman (Istanbul Research Institute) on September 15. The talk focuses on the Amcazâde Hüseyin Pasha Mansion, one of the rare civil architectural structures that has survived from the late 17th century and is included in the “Ottoman Buildings” section of the Cahide Tamer Historical Buildings Restoration Projects Collection, which was donated to the Suna Kıraç Library in 2018. The mansion, which constitutes an original example in terms of classical Turkish architecture and decoration, will be evaluated based on its position in Ottoman architecture and its stylistic features in parallel with its transformation over the years.
