ANAMED Library Talks, continue on January 11, 2021 with Andrea U. De Giorgi and A.Asa Eger. In this talk they will discuss their new book “Antioch. A History.” In particular, it will foreground the theoretical and methodological underpinnings that led to the diachronic presentation of Antioch as well as the city’s evolution through the ages. How a blend of archaeological, textual, epigraphic, environmental, and legacy data ushered in new vistas onto a narrative of settlement that was not bookended by the Islamic conquest is the main thread of the conversation. The talk will be moderated by Charles Gates. This month’s talk will be in English and will take place online. For more information about the talk
