As a joint organization of Tarih Vakfı and ANAMED Library, “Library Talks” will continue on the 4th of February, Tuesday, with Yonca Köksal. Based on her book The Ottoman Empire in the Tanzimat Era: Provincial Perspectives from Ankara to Edirne (Routledge, 2019), the author will examine variation across the two provinces and the crucial role of local intermediaries such as notables, tribal leaders, and merchants.
