Research Title: Architecture and Technological Transfer in the Roman Empire: Italic Building Techniques in the Provinces of Ancient Anatolia 

Dr. Sara Bozza is a Classical archaeologist, specializing in ancient architecture. Born and raised in Italy, she studied at Sapienza University and obtained the PhD title in 2016 at the Catholic University of Milan, with a dissertation on the Ionic architecture of Hierapolis of Phrygia. She held different research and post-doc positions at the University of Milan, Sapienza University of Rome and the National Research Council (Italy), while participating in the fieldwork of various archaeological projects in Turkey: Hierapolis of Phrygia (University of Salento, Italy), Teos (Ankara University), Tripolis ad Maeandrum (Pamukkale University). 
Her main research interests include the urbanism and public architecture of Greek and Roman world, with a special focus on Hellenistic and Imperial-period Asia Minor; ancient architectural decoration; ancient quarries, building sites and construction technologies. At ANAMED she carries out a research entitled “Architecture and Technological Transfer in the Roman Empire: Italic Building Techniques in the Provinces of Ancient Anatolia”.
